Webinar: HR Answers - Ways to Become a Better Manager/Supervisor

Multifamily NW Welcomes: Eric Wilson, HR Answers

Wednesday, November 15, 2023
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM (PST)

Zoom Meeting

Event Details

Are you a good manager or supervisor? How would the employees that you lead assess you, responding to the same question? Should you ask them and if you do how do you leverage that information?

What will we include in the discussion today?

  • You may be assessing those that work for you, how should you go about gaining their insights regarding your strengths and opportunities for growth at the same time?
  • Do you communicate effectively and sufficiently with your team? How might you assess and enhance those skills?
  • Are you approachable and empathetic? These seemingly “soft” skills are really “essential” skills when you take on the leadership role of a manager or supervisor. Can these and other “soft” skills be improved upon – or are they just a part of who you are?
  • Are your agendas and goals transparent or “shrouded”? How do you ensure that things that should be maintained private stay that way while also ensuring that you provide integrity and openness when able too?
  • What assessment tools and processes are available and what makes them more or less effective?

If you attend this session, you are acknowledging that you want to be a better supervisor or manager. That is the first step to a never-ending process.

Are there assessment tools that you use in your organization or have utilized in the past? Send those in advance with your comments as to their strengths and challenges – if you would like. What processes and strategies have worked most effectively in your self-development? The facilitator will be bringing some “best practices” while seeking the input of the real professionals – you!

Come to this Multifamily NW Webinar session to gain some insights and have the opportunity to field some of your own. Gain guidance from each other as well as from our HR Answers webinar facilitator. Sending your “special” situations in advance of the meeting (EWilson@HRAnswers.com) is encouraged to allow those elements to be included in the webinar session.

Multifamily NW Welcomes: Eric Wilson, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, HRIP, Senior Consultant, HR Answers
